SKAGEN AS is an independent Norwegian management company owned by senior management whose portfolio managers have a long and successful history in managing equity and fixed income funds.
Our sole business is fund management, and our sole aim is to consistently create the best risk adjusted returns for our clients.

- Established in 1993 by experienced investors in Stavanger, Norway who continue to be active in the business. SKAGEN is founded, owned and driven by portfolio management who make the key business decisions. This means that portfolio performance and risk adjusted return to our unitholders is central in all we do.
- A value-based and active investment philosophy with a global focus and broad mandates. The philosophy remains unchanged since the company started and has proved itself in both good and bad times
- A stable team of experienced portfolio managers many of whom have ownership stakes in the company and a substantial part of their personal wealth invested in the funds they manage
- Since inception the company has enjoyed a spectacular growth to become one of the largest fund management companies in Norway with a growing presence in other Nordic countries and Europe
- SKAGEN offers both equity and fixed income funds, of which five are marketed internationally outside our home markets of Norway and Sweden. These include three equity funds and two bond funds
- Headquartered in Stavanger, with five branch offices in Norway in addition to offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg in Sweden and Copenhagen in Denmark
- SKAGEN has approval to market its equity funds in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Luxembourg, Finland, Iceland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
